WoW’s third expansion pack, Cataclysm, was just revealed at Blizzcon and that means there is a slew of new information being tossed around the Internet right now as millions of people strive to figure out exactly what this new content change is going to mean for your current characters and account.

The New Races in Cataclysm

The biggest news in Cataclysm is probably the addition of the two new races to the game. A familiar face will be joining up with the Horde in the form of the Goblins while the Alliance will be getting the Worgen race, a group of wolfmen. The game has been teasing at these new races for years now – they’ve finally arrived and will probably be an interesting diversion. But, will they be worth setting up new characters for?

After what we saw with the addition of the Death Knight class in Wrath of the Lich King, I think we can safely say that yes, these two new races will be something else when they start out. The starting areas will likely be progression based instances for a period of time (as much of Azeroth will become as the Cataclysm affects the continent).

As a result, there is going to be quite a bit of new lore, interesting game dynamics, and new NPCs to encounter. Goblins may not be Werewolves, but the Horde will likely gain a nice little discount on some trade goods as a result, and besides, who wouldn’t want a goblin mage running around?

The New Class Combos in Cataclysm

This is a big hot button topic that a lot of players have been arguing about. The truth is that there is no way to know how these new combinations will actually affect anyone. Technically, they have no impact on the gameplay. It’s not a new class after all. However, there are dozens of people out there who are going to want to try this stuff out, whether because they are huge fans of one particular race and could never be a Priest or because they’re still reeling from the fact that their Human can be a Hunter now.

The New Levels

Only 5 new levels of content this time around means that everyone is going to be a lot less focused on power leveling to the next mark and more focused on enjoying the content that’s in those levels. It also probably means that those levels are going to take a long time to complete. What remains to be seen is exactly how Azeroth is going to provide enough new leveling content to move up 5 levels without destroying old starting areas. This will be interesting as we all know how big Azeroth zones already are.

In the end, Cataclysm is a huge event in the game and is going to change a lot about how we understand and play World of Warcraft. But, is it as major an upheaval as everyone seems to think? I suppose we’re going to have to wait and find out when the expansion finally arrives.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (WoW WotLK) has now been released, and lots of people are already playing it! There are new zones, death knight, new battle grounds and 10 new levels to pound your way through.

What’s the best and fastest way in leveling from 70-80?
The fastest way to level up is through doing quests, and the challenge is to find the fastest way to do most of the quest in the least possible amount of time. This means that getting and finding the fastest route available. This is a fair playing ground for all players to be in the same playing field. But because of beta servers, there are lots of warcraft players that were able to experience WoW WotLK ahead of the rest. They have an edge in being familiar with the new zones, new dungeons, and many more. Those who get to the cap of 80 quickly will find themselves alone in the end instance and type raids, and they will be reaping all the rewards. But for those who will experience 70-80 for the first time will probably grind their way to that cap of 80.

Now there are those people who are in beta who mapped out the new quests, battled through the 10 levels in order to discover what to do, keep notes on their routes, then help others on quests on the expansion. And some of them have released their own guides to help improve the game.

What will this do for your leveling from 70-80?
This will mean that you will have a reference for the quests, you will have someone who will share their knowledge and familiarity of WoW WotLK through the beta, and share their idea on how to get to level 70-80 in the least possible amount of time.

Leveling in Wrath of the Lich King will now be easy for two groups :
1. Those who were included in the beta and were familiar with the Northrend area and death knights, as well as the professions, quests, and many more.
2. Those that receive help from those who were included in the beta to level the playing field.

I want to go over the basic WoW talents for each class, the level that will help you most quickly, too. Keep in mind, this is on the basis you do most of the solo game. If you are honest, with a group of people, you do not need to read this because it used to be relevant and you probably know already, your role in the group.

Note the information I recommend are there bec

ause they are the most useful first step, and increase growth. Some classes at certain points you to another because a certain spec wow talent at this level may be available. I will not go into these features in this article.

Talent Calculator

Shadow Priest, no doubt you will be fastest on the. Insert the tap first points in mind and pretty much cherry pick the rest of the points that you feel is suitable, the entire shade tree high DPS tree.

Originally, for the first 20 levels wand is your best friend. At level 10 you will Mind Blast, which will be your main nuke. A Mind Blast, Shadow Word Pain, wand and the target should be dead. At level 20, you’ll pretty much your Mind Flay spell rotation, Mind Blast, Shadow Word Pain, Mind Flay (make) up dead.

Mage Talent

Some people will argue with me on this, but I prefer to Fire Level 50th Fire has a lot more DPS first. Frost is great, but needed some magic get really high gear to DPS. 3 fire balls or 2 fireballs and fire blast NPC and most destinations are in the early levels of the dead.

Similar to a priest, a rod will help you more quickly, since they were created at a low level wands of wizards that can DPS from your spells.

Warlock Talent

Affliction is the best, first because of the usefulness of the WoW talent level immediately.

You will receive extra damage from them as opposed to type utility talents in other trees.

Some people to 50 and the respect level demonology, so they get their felhunter.

Shaman Talent

Enhancement or Elemental are 2 good course information. I prefer to improve, because you still kill if you do not have the mana which reduces the down time.

Warrior Talent

Arm is the preferred leveling spec. Fury is good, but more so in later levels when you get access to better 1h weapons. Fury is a very gear dependent, if you are not so good weapons and low attack power a lot less damage then have an upgrade with a decent 2h.

Paladin Talents

Retaliation is a longshot, the compensation spec. 2h weapons to do far more damage and you gain access to much more useful skills to kill the speed to get the punishment.

Death Knight Talent

There really is no “best” spec for leveling Death Knight, as you start out at level 55 anyway, but before the patch 3.1, most people would rather unholy, after the patch it will do more Frost Death Knights to upcoming changes.

Rogue Talent

The struggle is widely claimed as the fastest for leveling a rogue. With swords or clubs, while not as much fun as daggers (since you fight basically just a few spam attacks), it definitely kills faster for leveling.

Talent Hunter

Beast Mastery is the recommended level of spec. Once your pet tank for you while you only shoot things, accomplishing little or no damage immensely accelerated leveling and reduce down to almost nothing.

Druid Talent

Feral is the preferred spec. Killing is fast as you can quickly and that’s what this specification. Later in the game some people to a balanced, which can make a lot of DPS, but nothing in the first half of the tree switch is as useful as the Feral tree.

Here are some of my favorite sources that helped me quickly to:

# 2 – followed closely Zygor’s guides. Both are great for copying by the low level and catch up with the big dogs!

Death Knights – Don’t expect much Death Knights. Blizzard has been back pedaling on this class since it was launched, trying to find the right balance and their next expansion is the perfect chance. Whatever they get will be undoubtedly cool to watch, but probably not that useful.

Druids – Druids have always been the beneficiaries of some mighty nice talents. However, there is little buzz coming out these days about what could be the next big attack for these guys. I imagine the Feral Druids among you will probably benefit from some increased Druidic powers in tanking, but that’s a mighty thin guess.

Hunters – Damage, damage, damage. Don’t expect anything less. Whether it’s a new pet class or a series of new talent points to help avoid damage, Hunters are all about the DPS. Expect bigger and badder Mark talents and some really cool pet effects.

Mages – Time Stop – a really good Time Stop too. We don’t know anything for sure, but Cataclysm is sure to bring some big fireworks to the Mage. They are getting up there in power and we’ve seen some pretty spectacular spells being cast by raid bosses.

Paladin – Restoration is probably set, but Protection and Retribution are going to get some major boosts to PvE effectiveness. For the most constantly changed class in the game, expect another series of buffs that are too heavy and then get scaled back for a while after 4.0 is released.

Priest – I’d imagine we see some more debuffs and buffs in the upper end for the Priests out there. Healing spells are good right now and can be scaled up for levels, but the buffs and debuffs are what really add value to this class and I think we’ll see that in Cataclysm.

Rogue – Rogues, much like our Hunter friends are all about DPS and will see the same kinds of insane boosts in their DPS in Cataclysm that we’ve come to expect. Don’t be surprised though if we finally see a couple of nerfs to this class, making them less “all powerful” in PvP. It’s been a long time since they’ve been at the top of the PvP charts and Blizzard has been thinking about retooling for a good long time.

Shamans – Who knows. Shamans have undergone a lot of changes since 3.0 was released (almost all of it good), but it’s impossible to know for sure when those changes will stop). I’d look for something non-totem related though. The totems are becoming ever more powerful but are largely support.

Warlock – Time to fix the Warlocks. All you locks are probably rubbing your hands in anticipation of Cataclysm because this class needs some love. Hard to tell what they’ll do, but a major retooling is likely.

Warriors – Don’t fix what’s not broken. Warriors have been the most stable class for 5 years now and will likely remain that way with minimal changes and few buffs. More damage absorption and a higher AoE threat generation are likely, but nothing else too spectacular.

Cataclysm is a long ways off, so it’s impossible to know what changes are coming, but when they do start coming, you can bet that there will be a lot of discussions and arguments over just how useful the new class setups are. It’ll be an interesting winter.

If you are a Hunter, you will be pleased to find that there is a new aspect added to your spells called “Aspect of the Dragonhawk”. If your Hunter is at least level 75 in the game, this will become available to you. This aspect actually combines the elements of both “Aspect of the Hawk”, as well as “Aspect of the Monkey”. In all actuality, this particular aspect will soon replace the previous two that I just mentioned. Once you receive this, you will find that there is no global based cooldown penalty that there once was with these two aspects – the hawk and the monkey. As you use this, it can be used over and over. Once mana runs low, the aspect called “Aspect of the Viper” can be used.

Now, when it comes to “Animal Handler”, the Hunter can now experience an expertise level of 5/10. The downside to this is that it does not actually increase the actual pet’s opportunity to hit the target that it is facing. There is a talent that is now applied towards the animals in which the Hunter takes as a pet. This is referred to as “Hunter vs. Wild”. When items are equipped, it enhances the attack power and also provides an additional bonus to all attacks. Naturally, the bonus of the attack power is delivered to the pets that the Hunter in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King elect to use as a companion in battles, quests, and throughout the game in general.

If you are a World of Warcraft player, and play the Hunter class, you are likely to enjoy the advantages that the new Wrath of the Lich King offers to your character. There are a number of changes that have been made when it comes to talent, spells, abilities, talent points, pets, and more! There are many opportunities to build up the character that you play in Wrath of the Lich King – this is especially true if you play a Hunter. If you want to optimize your game play in World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King, it is important to take advantages of the changes that have now occurred in the game.

In my opinion there is no better way to get through WotLK Hunter than by using this WotLK Hunter Guide.

Step 1) Download the addon- When you download the addon make sure you save it to a place you will remember later. I like to save my addons on my desktop in a folder called “wowAddons” To create this folder on your desktop just right click in a blank spot on your desktop and select “new” – “folder” and name it whatever you want.

Step 2) After you download the quest helper you want to extract it to your world of warcraft addon folder; you can find this folder in:

* Double click My Computer
* Double click on Program Files
* Scroll down to your World of Warcraft Folder and double click it
* Find the Interface Folder and click it
* Next you should see a folder called Add ons – double click that folder
* The Add ons folder is where you want to install your wow quest helper addons in

There are thousands of great wow addons made by some talented coders and new ones come out all the time. These game mods really enhance the game and make it easier to get simple tasks done in game, however, keeping all of these addons up -to-date is a nightmare after each patch so I highly recommend installing the client from Curse (dot) com to make it easier to install and update all your warcraft addons in one place.

Warcraft Add-ons are basically game extensions that can help make the game easier. They can range for quest helpers, combat mods, auction mods, etc. There are mods for just about anything related to World of Warcraft. And boy do they come in handy. First, let’s see what you need to do to install a Warcraft Add-On.

1. Download the mod you want to install. I recommend going to Curse.com or to WoWUI.incgamers.com to find the most comprehensive list of Warcraft Add-Ons.

2. Extract files with unzip program.

3. Select all folders then right click and copy the extracted folders.

4. Find your Add-Ons folder, it is usually located at this address – C:/WorldofWarcraft/Interface/Addons.

5. Open your Add-Ons folder and right click to paste the folders you copied.

6. When you fire up World of Warcraft, click the Addons button and select the addons of your choice.

Easy enough I think. Now, since there are ton of Warcraft Add-ons, which are the ones that you really need? Well, that all depends on what kind of character you have or your playing style. Every Warcraft gamer is different so the question can’t really be answered. But let’s take a look at the most popular Warcraft Add-ons to gauge where you should start off at.



- Quest Helper: This Warcraft Add-on tells you how to finish quests in the fastest and easiest way possible. A huge timesaver. It also comes with a database of quests, items, and monsters. It gives exact locations of the items. It computes the quickest way to finish all of your quests and gain XP as fast as possible. A great Warcraft Add-on.

- Deadly Boss Mods: Boss mods for all raid bosses; Cool colored raid warnings; Auto respond while fighting boss. A ton more features available for this Warcraft Add-On.

- Outfitter: This Warcraft Add-On is an equipment management tool. It allows fast access to multiple outfits. Great for enhancing abilities in PvP and PvE.

- Auctioneer: Automates many of the necessary tasks to maximize your profits in the Auction House. Great for tracking the market over a period of time, allowing you to accumulate data for better decision making. One of my favorite Warcraft Add-Ons.

Well, those are just a few of the most popular Warcraft Add-Ons that are available for free. Don’t get any Warcraft Add-Ons until you figure out what kind of character you want to create. They are there to enhance the gaming experience of specific types of characters, so an add-on for one type of character does not necessarily compliment a different type of character. Happy gaming.

But if you’re having problems installing them, chances are that it’s something simple. First I want you to understand that an addon is just a program that someone has created, and the program file must be placed inside your WoW Addons Folder. To find the folder, you’ll need to go to your Hard Drive, usually the C: drive. Open it, open your program files, open the World of Warcraft file, open Interface, then you’ll see the Addon file.

Open this Addon file and place your addon inside. If you’ve already placed your Addon inside this folder, and it’s not working, there’s a good chance that your addon was placed inside an extra folder.

Open up that WoW addon, and inside you’ll see another addon. That’s the one you want to use. If you open an addon folder, and inside you see several different files with .exe. lau and others, that is the actual addon.

You must have the actual WoW addon file placed inside your addon folder, and not have the extra folder. This is the main reason that addons won’t work.

So if you’re trying to install Auctioneer, and you go to C:/Programfiles/WorldofWarcraft/Interface/Addons and inside you see the Auctioneer folder… open it up, and if inside you see another folder that says Auctioneer…open it up, you’ll see several different files. You need to take that first folder, and delete it, and use only the second folder.

For All WoW Addons:

-Go to Curse.com and find the addon that you want to install, and click the download button
-Select Manual Install
-Save the file..saving it to your desktop is a quick/easy way, if you didn’t
-Find the file and right click to Extract All

Next you’ll need to place the extracted files into your World of Warcraft Files, this is different for different operating systems.

WoW Addons For Windows Vista

-Open the file, if it’s not on your desktop, it should be in your Downloads Folder, open the addon
-Double Click the addon
-Choose Extract All (upper toolbar)
-It will ask you where to extract to now, and you must find your WoW files, and tell it where to put the file
-Mine were in Public-Games-World of Warcaft-
-Inside the World of Warcraft files continue into the folders Interface then Addons
-Select Ok

WoW Addons For Windows XP

-It should have saved to your desktop, unless you said other wise, so go to the file… Right Click, then Extract All
-Next find your WoW Folders…mine were in C: Program Files
-Open your World of Warcraft main folder, then Interface, then Addons
-Click on the Addon, and drag it into the Addon Folder

WoW Addons For Mac

-Works just like XP
-Place the files in the WoW Folders – Interface – Addons
-If that doesn’t work, get a program called WowMatrix, it will let you install the .exe files that your Mac hates.

WoW Addons Troubleshooting

-Some Addon files are in an extra folder, so if they aren’t working…
-Go to the Addon you’re downloading inside the Interface-Addons file
-Open the Addon you’re downloading, use the folder in there

Example:
If Auctioneer isn’t working right, and you followed the steps as described here, go to your Program Files/WorldofWarcraft/Interface/Addons
In here you’ll see the Auctioneer Folder. Open this folder, and use the Auctioneer Folder inside. Open it first and make sure it has several files, if so it’s the folder you’ll need to place in the Addons Folder.
